With creating a door asset for my game, it made me question what kind of door I should make for my game as the theme for my game is a futuristic style. This makes me instantly go for a sliding door as you can’t have a futuristic game without a sliding door. But also, I am interested in how I could make a sliding door in my game. Even though I am still unsure of how I could achieve this as I still trying to get the hang of the blueprint tool. This has resulted in me researching methods of how I could achieve this mechanic. As I want to push myself with creating my game as I want to see if it’s possible and what I could achieve in my game.
With my research I have found a couple of YouTube tutorials on this subject of sliding doors which both have the same methods of creating a sliding door but different blueprint layouts. This makes me question how they would work with my door blueprints that I have already made but I do have an idea of how I can implement the sliding door mechanic in my already made door. By switching out the rotation with the sliding door timeline.
