With having a recent lecture on pacing, narrative and tutorial which has had me rethinking my level. As with my level I have so far, a couple of rooms for the player to complete. Which the first two rooms have some sort of a tutorial in a way to teach the player the controls and what they should be collecting. This is alright, but I feel like I could do a better job with the map design as it looks very basic but also doesn’t really teach the player about the mechanics. So, I am going to re-think my level by going over the Lecture today on pacing and narrative of level design. As by doing this it will give me a better idea of how to lay out my level but also help me focus on an idea for the level. As so far, I haven’t got anywhere with the design as I am unsure of my levels design. As every alteration makes me question my level for my game. In the means of is it going to add to the game play experience and how would it affect the player. So that is why I am doing this, hopefully I can complete this in this time frame as the deadline is coming up for my games hand in. As so far, I have the mechanics sorted out so all I got left is the games level, advertisement and game play recording.
