Research: Level Design

With making my game a point to think about it is the level design for my game. As a recent lecture we had brought up the topic of level design with the methods you could use to create the games levels. Which I found rather interesting as the methods you could use to develop the games levels. From the methods I have found the ones I am leaning towards in using is the top down view and the 3D scratch build. As for the top down view I find is a good start as it allows me to get a rough design of the map but also provides a clearer picture of whats going on in the level design. However I feel like the 3D scratch build is more useful as it builds up a 3D perspective of the level which I could even import it into the engine where could experiment around with it.

From looking into this I will play around with the methods to see which ones work best for me. However I haven’t been able to try it out yet as I am still unsure of which idea for my game would work the best however both of these ideas have a futuristic theme. So I can still work on the level design for my game and change it if I change my mind.
