With rethinking my games idea and making it a comedy I haven’t really got an idea of how I could create a comedy-based game. So, I am researching a range of comedy shows and films from ones I haven’t seen to some of my favourites. So, to start off with for researching comedy films/shows I have gone for Black Adder as its one of my favourite comedy series as it covers a range of time periods from the Medieval era to Victorian England where it takes the mic out of the eras from the beliefs to what’s happens during these events. For me I find the favourite one of the series is Black Adder goes fourth which is set on the first world war where they make light-hearted jokes about the war from the everyday life in the trenches to ways of getting out of the trenches. Which I like as it takes the light-hearted moments from a dark time of war.
From this it makes me wonder if I could take an aspect from this an implement this into my game. As it can take the best from a dark time which I like as you think of the best of times which reminds me of certain video games that took this aspect into their game. However, I don’t think I would be able to do this in my game as my game is only a prototype, so it would be difficult to include in my game. But I will keep this method of comedy in mind in case I could include it in my game.
