Before this session I worked on the Iterations in my spare time to allow me to work out what I want my container to be from my shadows. Because I can’t make my mind up out of the two on which one to focus on for the model sheet. To solve this, I came up with two iteration sheets to see which one takes my interest. This resulting in me choosing the chest as I feel like I can produce more iterations over the pottery one.
With this sorted I can narrow down which iteration design works the best. Which I found difficult to choose but also some of the iterations don’t look that great mainly the silhouettes as their edges aren’t neat. So, in future work I make sure to fix this as it’ll make it more professional in presentation. I do feel like I could have done a better job at the iterations in design and the details, but I feel like this is mainly due to getting use to the graphics tablets and learning new skills in concept art.
In the end I managed to narrow it down to one iteration which looks the best in design from all the details on the container. When creating the model sheet, I got stuck on how I want to present my design and what I should include in it. As I now the basics of the layout from different perspectives from front, side and back. But it’s the layout of the model sheet from the way I lay it out and should add additional drawing of what the chest looks like when it opens and how it should open.
