Indie Game: More Ideas for level design

With working on my level design for my game I noticed it didn’t have that many mechanics in it so far. As at the moment the first level features a couple of mechanics such as the key card, sliding door, moving platform, teleporter etc. These mechanics are major parts for my game, but I feel like I could have more of a diverse range of mechanics. This then made me think of other mechanics I could add to the game that can affect the game play in different ways. As with the platforms they are basic as I have the standard stationary platform and a moving platform Which makes me wonder what else I could do with them. So, I have come up with a couple of ideas of what mechanics I should implement into my game. One of them is to have a moving wall similar to the moving platforms where they can get in the way of the player when jumping to a platform. Another idea I have for a mechanic is breakable platforms. Which if the player stands on them for too long they will break dropping them into the lava which will teleport them back to a check point in the level. With this these ideas
